Balloons Over DeSoto

Get ready for one of DeSoto Parish's most anticipated summer traditions! Balloons Over DeSoto returns on Sunday, July 12, 2026, at C.E. "Rusty" Williams Airport in Grand Cane for an evening filled with family fun, entertainment, and breathtaking hot air balloons.

Beginning at 4:00 PM, guests can enjoy live Zydeco music, a variety of local food and craft vendors, children's activities, a virtual reality gaming truck, and inflatables before the skies come alive. As evening approaches, watch colorful hot air balloons inflate across the airfield, experience tethered balloon rides (weather permitting), and don't miss the spectacular Balloon Glow, when illuminated balloons light up the night. The celebration concludes with a dazzling fireworks display.

Admission, parking, and shuttle service are free, making this a perfect outing for families, friends, and visitors of all ages. Bring your lawn chairs, your camera, and your sense of adventure for an unforgettable evening celebrating the community under the Louisiana sky.
